Dr Arnab Banerji

Arnab is a long-standing Senior Adviser to Herminius who has worked with senior members of the Herminius team both as client and adviser for over 15 years. During his career Arnab has held a number of senior financial positions including at Nomura Securities, Citibank, and Foreign & Colonial where he was the Group Chief Investment Officer responsible for over US$100billion of global investments including US$5 billion in emerging market securities. Furthermore, he has served on the Morgan Stanley Capital International Advisory Board and was a director of CDC, the emerging markets private equity group now known as British International Investment (BII). Until recently a board member at the Qatar Financial Centre, he was also a non-executive director of Kames Capital, part of the AEGON group. He served on the Advisory Council of the United Kingdom’s Export Credit Guarantee Department for three and a half years from January 1997. He was also a Partner at Lansdowne Partners Limited Partnership, specialising in emerging markets.

For three years Arnab worked in No 10 Downing Street as the Senior Policy Advisor on Economic Affairs to the then Prime Minister, Tony Blair. He was also the Prime Minister’s Senior Policy Adviser on Financial and City Affairs from October 2001 to April 2005.
