Chris Hitchcock

Chris Hitchcock joined Herminius in 2025. He is a fluent Arabic and Turkish speaker who has led dozens of due diligence and strategic intelligence projects across the Middle East and further afield, with a particular focus on the Gulf and Saudi Arabia. He holds a bachelor’s in Middle Eastern studies and Arabic from Cambridge, as well as a master’s in modern Middle Eastern politics and history from SOAS University London. He began his career as a linguist and political monitoring specialist, working for several years in Turkey and Qatar. He is the author of A Learner’s Grammar of Levantine Arabic.
